Hoping someone can help me locate the marriage of John Doyle and Mary Deir. Family history has it that they eloped to Montreal. All attempts to find this marriage in Eastern Ontario have been fruitless. Their first four children were baptized at the Catholic church in Gananoque, Ontario, and the entries state " of the lawful marriage of..". The first child baptized was on March 2, 1865, being born 19 Feb., 1865. So the marriage timing would appear to fall into the range of the Fall of 1863 or the winter of 1863/64. Are there microfilms for churches of that time available, say, at LDS? Being Irish they would probably gone to a church that ministered to the Irish population. John's parents were Thomas Doyle and Anne Fortune. Mary's were John Deir and Catherine Lloyd. Any assistance would be much appreciated. Paul Cote
