I don't have much on this GROSLOT-GROLEAU line (see below) I haven't had too much success researching COURTENAIS/COURTENAY either. I do know that the name FRAPPIER/FRAPIER is associated with it. I have found a few sites that list COURTENAYs but they are in France and England (Normand conquests) and from the 1100 > 1400's. There was a Pierre COURTENAY b ABT 1152 in Constantinople, Turkey d 1219 France m May 1192, Hainaut, France Yolande De HAINAUT And I know that some settlers to Canada that came from Courtenay, Galinois, France used the COURTENAIS/COURTENAY name.
