    2. I am looking for additional information on the James Thompson and Rose Dorsay (or'Rose D’Orsey) described in this obituary. The couple was married in 1839 place TBD and they ultimately settled in Normandale, Charlotteville Township. Obituary for James Thompson: The Late James Thompson James Thomson, 87, died 19 Apr 1900 at his home near Normandale, Norfolk County, Ontario. On Saturday afternoon the mortal remains of Mr. James Thompson were conveyed to their last resting place in the cemetery at Normandale, after an impressive service conducted by the Rev. Mr. Robertson, Presbyterian Minister, of Port Dover. Mr. Thompson had many friends and many followed his remains to their last resting place. The pal-bearers were his five sons and one grandson. He was born in the town land of Leam, county of Fermanagh, Ireland, on October 15th, 1813, and was 87 years old at the time of his death. He left Ireland at 18 years of age and landed in Quebec in 1835. He volunteered in the rebellion of 1836 under command of Captain Walter Anderson. In 1839 he married Miss Rosa Dorsay and settled on lot 11, concession A of Charloteville, and has lived on the same farm over fifty years.
