Hi Jim, I rather doubt that you'll be able to find English transcriptions of birth and marriage records outside of what is found in the PRDH certificates. Perhaps you were sent copies that were made from microfilm and not as sharp as they might be. You might find more legible copies in the LDS film for Blairfindie; I've used #1031781 for 1784-1860 and it wasn't too bad. Another thing I should mention is that while Mathilde is listed as DUMAS on p. 174 of the marriage rep, the cross-listing on p. 56 shows her as Mathilde DULUDE, d/o Nicolas and Julienne TREMBLAY. They also married at Ste-Marguerite in 1803 so you might find her birth record there as well.
