To all:- I guess I really goofed -- and apologies for my errors. December 6, 1917 was the date of the Halifax Explosion, the first part of "The Shattered City" was on CBC this evening beginning at 8 PM -- the second part will be tomorrow evening, 8 PM with time difference for Newfoundland-Labrador. To the ones who picked up on my mistake -- June 6, 1944 was the 60th anniversary of D-Day and the Battle of Normandy. December 7, 1941 was the bombing of Pearl Harbour with the Arizona becoming a shine and underwater cemetery for crew members. Tune in tomorrow evening to The Shattered City to learn why Boston receives a Christmas tree from Nova Scotia each year. Apologies for the errors!! Muriel M.
