    3. To all:- Possibly I should explain the "Canadian Reflections" story in the Legion magazine concerns the Empress of Ireland -- and that the liner made voyages from Quebec to Liverpool, England. It is estimated 1,000 passengers and crew were lost -- the ship is somewhere -- sunk to the bottom of the St. Lawrence River, and very possibly local people know the location. Muriel M. Davidson muriel_davidson@sympatico.ca ===== I have given only the main website address for the The Legion Magazine, but there are many useful sites, including LAST POST if searching for a former serviceman whose name might be listed. http://www.legionmagazine.com/ D-Day will be celebrated in memory by many on June 6 -- we think back to 1944, and this is the Canadian story. Check out "Canadian Reflections" -- the Empress of Ireland story, one of the least-known history stories with a loss of 1,000. All items are printable.
