He did his religious Confirmation on February 2, 1660 at Chateau-Richer. Joseph was listed as age 50 in the 1666 Census and age 53 in the 1667 Census. The 1681 Census of Chateau Richer lists him age 70. Another Source has Marguerite's death date as January 11. Historical Notes: 1. The Masse (Macé or Massey) name can be found linked to Charles Martel-dit-Masse, He and his Frankish warriors stopped and repulsed the Moorish advance into Europe. This defeat in 732 was the first for the Moslem conquests. This battle started the aliances between the Frankish tribes.
