    2. this looks like a case of a name that has been Anglicized, this often happened when being know as a French Canadian didn't do you any favors. It also made it easier for the census taker etc. Often this came along with marrying a Protestant/ Anglophone. Bean would be Lefevre or Lefebre, or Lefevbre in French Canada. so Give these spelling a whirl and see if you hit pay dirt. Levevre also some times became Fever Other names that were changed were Boisvert to Greenwood. Benoit to Benwah, Campo to Camp, La Montaigne to Mountain, LaFountain to Fountain Pellitier to Shovel or Pelkey, Courtemanche to Shortsleeve. Noel to Christmas. and the list goes on and on.
