    1. JARRY and LAMOTHE .. (b!895 Quebec?) to MA / USA in 1919

    3. Hello, I have just discovered that the maiden name of my grandfather's third wife was probably Yvonne LAMOTHE. She and Albert JARRY seem to have migrated from Quebec Province as single people in 1919, and they seem to have migrated with another family. I have found them in the 1920 Census for Chicopee, MA, but I can't read the handwriting too well. The surname of the family seems to be something like .. DEANER (parents and children), and Albert and Yvonne and Emil (LEVESQUE ??) (sp?) were living in their home as boarders. Albert and Yvonne must have married shortly after the Census was taken in 1920, as their first child was born in either very late 1920 or in early 1921. I don't know what happened to their marriage as Mrs. Yvonne JARRY remarried in 1952. I just thought I would offer this information in case it would help someone else researching these surnames. It seems there were other JARRY families in that part of Massachusetts (Springfield, Greenfield, etc.) and they were probably working in the mills and factories in that area. We had thought Yvonne's maiden name was LAMONT, but the Census forms show it as LAMOTHE. And the 1930 Census for Chicopee shows that Yvonne's sister, Antoinette LAMOTHE, 26, was living with them. It says she migrated in 1923. (A boarder in the home was Louis LaCHANCE, Age 52, divorced.) Thank you for your time. Betty (near Lowell, MA, USA)
