Hello, I just remembered that a discussion took place on one of the Newfoundland Lists this week - about .. how EXPENSIVE.. everything is in Canada with "taxes." So, I should have offered to donate $20 U.S. ($30 U.S.?) .. to anyone near Argenteuil County who could drive over to Lakefield and look at church records. (Or, wherever the church records for the "former Township of Gore" are held.) (Would send personal check or US cash .. after the fact.)
