None of these names seem to be noble - particularly the Scottish ones. waht I mean is that to be noble in the British isles is to carry a hereditary title. The 'Van' is merely a predicate which shows that the person was from that place, thus Adam of Keerk would be Adam van Keerk. Some of these names may have been patrician names of Holland or the surrounding areas, but I would suggest that you post these names on the Dutch list and see what you come up with - by the way, the dutch are very fluent in English! peter de Loriol ( in my case the name is noble, if that means anything!)
