A friend of mine has asked if I would try to gather some information about Mary Eugenia Beauvais, who was born in La Prairie, Quebec. She was born on August 10, 1849. Mary Eugenia moved to the State of Michigan and married a man who managed a lighthouse in Port Sherman now Muskegon, Michigan. My friend is trying to find out if Mary Eugenia Beauvais was a member of an Indian nation in Canada. The only other bit of information that was available is that Mary Eugenia's parents were Jean Baptiste Beauvais and Angele Boucher. She was baptized as a Roman Catholic.
