Don't forget folks that you can go to PRDH at http://www.genealogie.umontreal.ca/en/acces.htm In the left column on the main page, click on "First and Last Names", then in the third paragraph click on the hyperlink "about the spellings associated with each name " . You can then find the frequency of each associated spelling of a surname in the approximately 700,000 certificates in the PRDH's data base (events before 1800) .ANAIR is not listed.
