I have an Arthur CARDINAL who was born 1873/4 and ended up in Fitchburg, MA. On the 1881 Canadian Census there are 2 Arthur CARDINALs of the exact age, one the son of Solime in LaPrairie,Quebec and the other the son of Cyril in Ontario. Cyril had been born in Quebec. If Arthur is the son of Solime I am all set. If he is the son of Cyril [ b. 1822 and married to Elise Sequin 20-30 years his junior] I am at a loss. Is anyone familiar with this Cyril CARDINAL and at least know his parentage. I looked at his death record and it gave a father named "Joseph" and a mother named Emelie Thomanse. This has gotten me nowhere as they don't show up in any of the major records. I believe he died so old no one actually remembered who the parents were. By the way, they all eventually ended up in Fitchburg, MA. Are there English versions of Cyril that I might pursue, the only Cardinal married to an Elise Sequin is an Augustin Cardinal.
