Christine, I am a descendant of Cyril Cardinal and Elise Seguin of Fitchburg through their son Henry. Cyril died 18 March 1902 in Fitchburg and his death certificate states that his parents were Joseph Cardinal and Emelie Themance. Joseph, Leroux dit Cardinal and Emelie Themance were married 4 February 1828 in Sault-aux-Recollet, Quebec and latter moved to Ontario. Cyril and Elise moved to Fitchburg about 1893. There is a question in our family, however, whether Cyril was their natural born son or if they adopted him though there most definitely is a connection. I have been working on this problem for many years and have yet to find the answer. If you need more information about Arthur Cardinal in Fitchburg let me know.
