I'm looking for the following family: Joseph Martin b. abt. 1800 Canada East (Quebec) and children, Antoine b. abt. 1832, Emery / Emory b. abt. 1829 - 1831, John b. abt. 1833 - 1834, Frank / Francis / Francois b. abt. 1839 - 1841. All children were born in Quebec. By 1850 this family lived in Westville, Franklin County, New York. Joseph may have been married to a woman named Louise Corbeau / Corbraw... I am appreciative of any searches people are willing to do to help me. This is the ONLY side of my family tree that I know nothing about... There is a Joseph MARTIN in Fort Covington, NY (Franklin Co.): MARTIN, JOSEPH (1860 U.S. Census) NEW YORK , FRANKLIN, FT COVINGTON Age: 56, Male, Race: WHITE, Born: CANA Series: M653 Roll: 754 Page: 462 He is listed with a wife, Loiza, age 56 or 58, and a possible son, Antonio/Antonia (sp?), age 27. There is a CAMPBELL family living in the home with them. The couple, Joseph and Louisa .. MARTIN, are still living in Fort Covington, NY, in 1870: MARTIN, JOSEPH (1870 U.S. Census) NEW YORK , FRANKLIN, FORT COVINGTON Age: 66, Male, Race: WHITE, Born: CANA Series: M593 Roll: 937 Page: 598 Frank MARTIN and John MARTIN are listed on the same Census page with their families. John has a wife, Sarah, and five children. Frank has a wife, Clarasey (sp?), and four children. The 1860 Census shows an Emery MARTIN, with a wife, Lucinda, and one child, living in Stockholm, NY: MARTIN, EMERY (1860 U.S. Census) NEW YORK , ST LAWRENCE, STOCKHOLM Age: 24, Male, Race: WHITE, Born: CANA Series: M653 Roll: 853 Page: 557 The 1900 Census shows both an Emery MARTIN and an Antoine MARTIN in Fort Covington, NY. Emery's wife looks to be a name like Angeline or Evangeline (ink is blotted), and no children are mentioned. Antoine's wife is listed as Emily, and they have two sons living with them.
