I am looking for the marriage and/or parents of Claire DUMAS [Acadian?] and Jean Baptiste BEAUSOLEIL. Their son Joseph BEAUSOLEIL married Marie Rose GAUDREAU, 14 November 1774 in St.-Maurice, Trois Rivieres, Quebec. Thanks for any insights anyone might provide! Christine
Dumas is probably not one of the Acadian names. It might be Dugas? BEAUSOLEIL is an Acadian dit name for Broussard. Could this be him? Jean Baptiste Brossard (Joseph Brossard and Ursule LeBlanc) bn.14 Jan 1742, bt. 14 Jan 1742 spo. Jean Baptiste LeBlanc and Marguerite Alin, sig. Joseph Broussard (s) (SGA-3, 13). Dios of Baton Rouge v 1a p 44 St-Charles-aux-Mines, Grand-Pre, Acadia Records. Alin = Allain If it is him, Parents on DGFA v 1 p 287. Or if you can't find it, I have his parents marriage record from DOBR Hope this helps Paul Le Blanc in Louisiana cey@mac.com wrote: > I am looking for the marriage and/or parents of Claire DUMAS [Acadian?] > and Jean Baptiste BEAUSOLEIL. > > Their son Joseph BEAUSOLEIL married Marie Rose GAUDREAU, 14 November > 1774 in St.-Maurice, Trois Rivieres, Quebec. > > Thanks for any insights anyone might provide! > > Christine > > > ==== QUEBEC Mailing List ==== > The QUEBEC mail list archives: > http://searches.rootsweb.com/cgi-bin/listsearch.pl?list=quebec > http://archiver.rootsweb.com/QUEBEC-L/ >
