Hi all, A newbie to the list here. I've just discovered that my grandfather immagrated to Canada for in 1929 before returning to Britain before WWII. I'm just posting details about the family in case anyone is also researching something similar. Reginald Dykes arrived in Quebec on 19/07/1929 on the Duchess of Athol. It is believed that he worked in/on a coal mine somewhere in Canada. On 23/05/1930 his wife, Edith, and his first son, Reginald, arrived on the Duchess of Richmond. I believe while in Canada they had one son, Charles Edward Patrick Dykes. Cheers, Daniel
