Yes Andre was un enfant Naturel Andre was adopted by Rene Siret dit Lafleur & Anne Fayet. residents of Beauport, Andre dit Jean Paradis is the son of Jean & Claude Damizé wife of Pierre Perthius. Anne fayet was born about 1651 in the parish of Saint-Laurent in Paris, the daughter of Denis Fayet and Marie Guilbert. Gagné) I found two PRDH bapt. certificat for the same person, but they differ 1) one says Bapt in Montreal the other Pointe aux-Trembles.. 2) the certificat numbers are different 3)One says registered in Montreal the other in Point-aux-Trembles 4)Where did the bapt actually take place? 5)who was the priest..they are different.? 6)even that bapt dates are different:) 7) in one the parents are married in the other they are not Andre dit Jean Paradis was born out of wedlock to the couple so they were not married and never married to each other. If those are to remain as such in PRDH maybe they should be hyperlink with an explanation. Please advise, Thank you (see below for the cert.) Renée Cummings ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- ---- The Repertory of vital events has to show the information as it appears in the original documents. Unless we misread them, this is how the baptism was registered. Given the time period, I would think the baptism took place in Pointe-aux-Trembles and was transcribed from a loose leaf in both registers sometime after the fact. Each version has a comment mentionning the same event was registered in another register. They have a son Andre that was baptized in Montreal on 3 March 1676 and in Point-aux-Trembles on 23 March 1676, according to PRDH. Seems like Claude was not married to Jean but was married to Pierre Perthuis on 10 Dec 1668. She had several children (11) with Pierre, none named Andre. Jean Paradis married Jeanne Paquet on 5 Feb 1679 and his marriage record in PRDH does not indicate he is a widower. Claude Damise died 10 June 1705. Is it possible that Andre is "un enfant naturel"?
