Last year, after many complaints about obits, it was decided that another list would be created just for Death Notices / Remembrances. The new list is known as CAN-QC-OBITS-L . This list carries obits of Quebec newspapers as well as those from elsewhere when the obit is of a person that can trace his ancestry back to Quebec. To subscribe in "List" most send a blank email with ONLY the word SUBSCRIBE in the "Subject: line to CAN-QC-OBITS-L-request@rootsweb.com I would advise though that you subscribe in "Digest" mode because this can get to be a busy list.
