    1. Post-1901 Census -- Political Party Should Not Interfere With Census Release
    2. Muriel M. Davidson
    3. To all:- Political preferences should not matter when a bill is presented in either the Senate of Canada or the House of Commons, but however, this seems to be the case re Bill S-18. Read Hansard excerpts at http://www.globalgenealogy.com/Census/index.htm Bill S-18 is a government bill, therefore must be introduced and sponsored by members of the Liberal Party -- Senator Lorna Milne is the sponsor in the Senate. WHEN Bill S-18 reaches the House of Commons, the Hon. David Emerson will introduce Bill S-18 with the Hon. Don Boudria as sponsor or one who receives all the House of Commons petitions, answers questions and all the formality for First, Second and Third Reading. Please check ALL provinces for RED X and Blue ? symbols, all the same political party, contrary to the mandate of the Opposition Party re census release. Do not worry about GREEN symbols -- they often decide at the last moment. http://www.globalgenealogy.com/Census/Senscore1.htm Newfoundland-Labrador:- BLUE ? ----- Senator Ethel M. Cochrane cochre@sen.parl.gc.ca BLUE ? ----- Senator C. William Doody doodyw@sen.parl.gc.ca Nova Scotia:- BLUE ? ----- Senator J. Michael Forrestall forrem@sen.parl.gc.ca RED X -----Senator Gerald J. Comeau comeag@sen.parl.gc.ca New Brunswick:- RED X ---- Senator Noel A. Kinsella kinsen@sen.parl.gc.ca Quebec:- BLUE ? --- Senator Jean Claude-Rivest jcrivest@sen.parl.gc.ca BLUE ? --- Senator W. David Angus anguswd@sen.parl.gc.ca Ontario:- RED X ---- Senator Lowell Murray murral@sen.parl.gc.ca [formerly from Nova Scotia] BLUE ? --- Senator James F. Kelleher kellej@sen.parl.gc.ca Saskatchewan:- RED X ---- Senator David Tkachuk tkachd@sen.parl.gc.ca Manitoba:- RED X ---- Senator Terry Stratton stratt@sen.parl.gc.ca The BLUE ? means the appointed politician has never replied -- not even by way of an assistant. The RED X means NO -- seemingly firmly against census release. IF we could change the BLUE ? to GOLD, we would have a majority in the Senate as well as in the House of Commons. Should anyone be desirous of writing to the above, postage is FREE, address: NAME, Senate of Canada, Ottawa, ON K1A 0A4 [Copy of letter desired by either Gordon or myself, thanks!] Prince Edward Island and Yukon are both 100% GOLD!!
