I just found out my gg grandfather was married in 1844 in St. Roch, Quebec Can anyone tell me where that is...I found 3 different versions of St. Roch, one that is part of Quebec City, one that is by Val D'Or, one that is called St-Roch-des-Aulnaies, and another called St-Roch de Richelieu He was a military guy...so likely it would be a place where the military were located. It sounds like a place where there were a large number of Irish immigrants, as he married a Catherine O'shea from Ireland.. Mark John Hammond married 6.2.1844 St-Roch to Catherine O'Shea Mark John parents : Thomas Hammond & Elisabeth Jemph Catherine parents : Charles (John) O'Shea and Catherine Delamp If anyone has this family in their tree, I would love to hear from you.
