Hello, I'm seeking any information regarding the ancestry of my 6th great grandparents, Alexander Ross and Helen Bayne. What I have so far is that Alexander (supposedly Lord of Fearn) was born at Tain, Scotland @1710. He married Helen Bayne (b. @1712 at Tulloch, Scotland) @1732 at Tain. They had a son (my ancestor) William, b.@1733 at Tain, who later came to Quebec with the Fraser Highlanders 78th Regiment to fight the French. Afterwards, he remained in Canada, where he married Marie-Josephte Proulx. His descendants eventually settled in Rimouski. Haven't been able to make any headway on my Scottish line beyond Alexander and Helen and would appreciate any help or guidance. Thanks. Rick Steigelman
