Bonjour mes amis, My relative came from Ireland and entered at Quebec. He stayed there until the Civil War was over in the USA, about 1864-65, and then went to Iowa. I was wondering how people moved on to the US. Was it thru the lakes and then out or across Canada then down or straight down then across? Any info would be helpful.
