Posting my research interests: #1 ROBERTS, Antoine b 6 MAR 1820 in ??Quebec and died 14 Aug 1900 in Champlain, NY. He married Isabella Cleland 5 April 1842 while a member of the Royal Frontier guards at the garrison of Hemmingford. I am trying to find Antoine's lineage. A story passed through Grandparents say that his mother was French and died after delivering Antoine aboard the ship to Canada. His father was said the be Welsh and gave young Antoine to a family by the name of Scriver in Hemmingford to raise. #2 DULEY, Andrew b 24 MAR 1823 in Quebec and died 8 NOV 1906 in Altona, Clinton County, NY. He married Catharine Dryden b 24 JAN 1825 Sprouston, Scotland. Marriage date and place unknown. Andrew Duley became an American citizen in 1860 and the paperwork reads DOOLEY but he signed his name as Andrew DULEY. I have been unable to find any trace of his birth in Canada or lineage, despite hiring professional researchers. I have tried DALY, DOYLE, DOOLY, DALE AND DOOLEY. New York census, 1850, 1860, 1870 etc. state his father Irish and his Mother Scottish, however one in 1880 states his Father is English. Confusing! #3 DRYDEN, Andrew b- e 1792 in Scotland and died 11 FEB 1879 in Hemmingford, Canada. He married Isabel Douglass b- e 1795 in Roxburgh, Scotland and died 24 MAR 1867 in Hemmingford.
