Hi Odile, Thank you for your reply. Sorry you had to wait so long for mine. Sorry also that you took offence to my post. I try to understand your statement: "what a man can do a woman can do it also". You also said: " the situation is she married at the age of 73 years old with a 24 years old....what wrong with this? nothing...how many ****elderly men**** in the history married young females.................. a lot and they have kids..." A 73 year old woman cannot have kids can she? I made a spreadsheet of all marriages in my db with birth year of both spouses and marriage dates. I added a column for age differance, (wife birthday minus husband birthday), and sorted on age differance. I have 4000 marriages in it. At top of my list is negative age difference, (wife is older) and at bottom are plus difference, (husband older). I make a new list every 3-5 years and always find one or two with over 100 year age difference. Those are easily corrected as typos. Other large differences are considered "unlikely" or "questionable" and should be verified with a closer look. This marriage was at the top of my list so when I saw it in Renée's list I posted. Renée has offered much insight so that I agree PRDH has properly derived a 1641 birth for Rene Branche (from sepulture). PRDH offers no birth date for Marguerite and my 1592 birth for her is from IGI only so worthless. More likely born 1600-1605. She also referred to a PRDH baptism referencing Rene Branche a few days before the marriage so I had to check that he was not the father. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Odile" <[email protected]> To: "Richard Van Wasshnova" <[email protected]> Sent: Tuesday, February 20, 2007 9:10 PM Subject: Re: [QUEBEC] Here's to you Mrs Robinson - RE Marriages from Renee's dbFeb 17 >I try to understand your statement: is it that you believe there is an >error > in dates? please explain to me your statement.. > > """"Below I show all of Marguerite's descendants as of 1665-02-17 and > her 2nd marriage.
