I and several other relatives have searched for years for Theodore/Theophile Lapierre(Lapeer, Lepire) , my great great greatgrandfather. I just cannot believe that no one is related to this Lapierre family in Quebec. He was born ca 1813-1815 we believe. He came to Michigan from ?????and married around 1836-37 to Marguerite McGulpin.He was listed on the 1860 census for Mackinc Co. along with two other Lapierres Ignace and Francois. Whether they are related is a mystery but Theophile named a daughter Pelagie the same as Ignaces daughter which gives me to believe they might be of the same family. That part of Wisconsin that they originated from was part of Mackinac Co at that time period. So did Theophile come from there,could Ignace be his father being there is just a couple of years difference in Francois and his age? Where did Ignace and Francois originate. I'm all out of ideas.
