Born in Canada, his name would more than likely have been Pierre DAOUST. I don't know what time frame we are talking about here but is it possible that he was your great-grandfather's brother Pierre that married Martha UNKNOWN in 1880. Or... Peter possibly wasn't born in Canada but recorded as such. My database is limited in who were the children of your great-grandparents... I only have 5 children for them and that seems very few children for a Francophone family of that era... And you did say his mother was recorded as Zess and your great-grandmother's name was Edesse / Edyesse. In French this is pronounced AY-dess and sometimes AY-DAY-YES. As for Jean DAOUST and Zess CICERO... I don't have this couple in my database but then my database is somewhat limited when it comes to DAOUSTs. I always refer people to Michel DAOUST or Bob D'AOUST as they are the experts. Bob originally shared some of his database with me and since then I have shared what I find.
