Dear Lone Star Pam, I don't have any wonderful data for you but found it interesting to note that your Ignace LEROUX-CARDINAL was the brother of my husband's 8G Grandmother, Antoinette LEROUX-CARDINAL. Antoinette married Louis JACQUES in 1688 at Notre-Dame-de-Québec. Another way to say this is that your Ignace is the 9th Great Uncle of my husband Robert JACQUES. My husband's direct line, starting with Antoinette's and Ignace's parents François LEROUX-CARDINAL & (fille-du-roi) Marie RENAUD, lived in Québec (ville); Charlesbourg; several places in Berthier County; Houghton County, (Upper) Michigan; St. Paul, Minnesota, and Milwaukee, Wisconsin. My husband and I got to Texas from Wisconsin by way of Idaho, California, Arizona, Alaska, & Australia. But we've been in Texas since 1976, so maybe I can be Lone Star Jeanne. Anyway the dispersement of descendents fascinates me. It looks like your line came through New England.
