Charles Clinton DYSART born March 25 1837 When he was young he ran away and jumped ship in New Zealand. He settled and married there. He registered the birth of one of his daughters and said that he was born – Quebec , Lower Canada, British America. His first daughter he named Maud ( perhaps this was his mother’s name as there is a story that his mother died) and maybe she was a Clinton. It is also understood that he had a sister. When he died in 1911 the certificate said that he had been in NZ 58 years. He signed a form that indicated he arrived in NZ in 1854 Any help greatly appreciated.
