    3. Hi Sheila I had 3 marriages for Marie Valade so I opened the family page. The parents had 2 Marie and they both married twice. Marie mar. to Jean Cadieux was a fille du Roy. In the book by Peter Gagne it says that her mother Sarah Cousseau renounced Calvinism 27 Sep. 1685 at Saint-Nicolas. It doesn't say when she died but you have 1691. Now you have the two events she "renounced" in 1685 and died in 1691. There's no mention of the mother's first marriage to Samuel Bertrand. Hope that clears this up for you Good luck Remee PRDH Couple [Family] of ANDRE VALADE and SARAH COUSSEAU Father : PIERRE COUSSEAU Mother : ANNE BOURRADIER Couple Marriage: 1630-02-03 France Children married before 1800 : Sex Date of marriage First name of the child Place of marriage Name of the spouse f 1658-08-19 MARIE QUEBEC [Couple] MICHEL LHOMME m 1669-11-10 GUILLAUME QUEBEC [Couple] MARIE FRANCOISE ASSELIN f 1663-11-26 MARIE MONTREAL [Couple] JEAN BAPTISTE CADIEUX ================================ -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]]On Behalf Of Sheila Lafleur Sent: Thursday, March 22, 2007 2:11 PM To: [email protected] Subject: [QUEBEC] Marie-Barbe Valade / Sara COUSSEAU Hi list...... any suggestions? I am trying to confirm the below information and can't seem to find the right google search about people condemned of heresies Marie-Barbe Valade : Father: Andre Valade. a carrier or messenger of St. Nicholas de La Rochelle, Mother: Sara Cousseau, widow of Samuel Bertrand: she died from "heresie" at St Nicolas on Sept. 27, 1685, and was buried at the same place at the age of 95 July 25 1691. ( that statement doesn't make sense to me perhaps something was lost in english translation) She had nine children. Married at the Temple on Oct 26 1625 to Samuel Bertrand, "saulnier" the contract was passed by Couseeau (not.), on Sept. 2nd, in the presence of David Pepin, one of the peers of LaRochelle and Great uncle of the intended wife. In 1630 she remarried Andre Valade, Marie Barbe's father... future bride of Michel L'Hommes and Jacques LeMeilleur." Thanks Sheila Lafleur
