Hello All, The time is getting short now to sign up for the QFHS Genealogy Conference at McGill University June 15-16-17th. For all the details re food- accommodations- speakers etc - please go to www.QFHS.ca & then click on Roots 2007. There will be a talk explaining "how to" access Quebec land records from the internet. This is a bit detailed- but the land records often contain marriage info- wills & other important genealogy treasures. The land offices started sometime around 1850 & their records do not predate 1840 at the earliest. There will be a guided tour of the Montreal archives on Fri (15th) . I'll tell you a secret - I have heard that every person who signs up will be receiving a free copy of Legacy program. Hope to see everyone in Montreal on the 15th.. Pennie
