Thanks Michel It looks to be the right couple. I went to the LDS site for the marriage record but sadly no parents are mentioned for either of them. On the day before the wedding on Jan 5th, Mary Soubriny Taylor was baptized as the lawful wife of Joseph Paradis, joiner, of the township of Ascot. Ascot is also in Sherbrooke County. There's is no hyphen in Mary's name so she could be Mary Soubriny-Taylor instead of Mary-Soubriny Taylor. Without the parents of Joseph I'm still at a dead end on this one.
