    3. For the birthplace of Elijah Beausoleil, try Ste-Elizabeth in Joliette County, Quebec. There was a Lazare Sylvestre dit Beausoleil baptized there 18 December 1842 to Oliver Sylvestre dit Beausoleil and Marguerite Asselin. They show up in the 1851 and 1861 censuses of that parish. Lazare had a brother Eugene, baptized 14 November 1853 in Ste-Elizabeth, who shows up in Rockingham, VT in the 1900 census.

    3. Mark - Thank you very much! This is the family! How did you get this information? Is it in a database online? I would love to research any other births by Oliver and Marguerite because... I have seen in Rockingham's records information on Lazare, Larger, and Elijah Beausoleil. I am wondering if they are all the same person, recorded by people who couldn't read the writing or who heard something different from what was said. Again, I appreciate your help.
