1762-05-20 b Pointe-Olivier (St-Mathias) Subject m BOISVERT JEAN BAPTISTE 1762-05-20 b Pointe-Olivier (St-Mathias) Father m BOISVERT JEAN 1762-05-20 b Pointe-Olivier (St-Mathias) Mother f LAJOIE MARIE PRDH Good evening I have the marriage of (Union 1792-01-09 L'Acadie BOISVERT JEAN-BAPTISTE & GODIN MARIE-LOUISE PRDH) Jean-Baptiste is said to be the son of Jean-Baptiste Boisvert & the late Marguerite Lajoie but I can't find a marriage for them in PRDH. I found the baptism above and they appear to be the parents I'm looking for but Pointe-Olivier (St-Mathias) start in 1777 in LDS pilot site. Can some kind soul please tell me where to look for that baptism in 1762 for Pointe-Olivier (St-Mathias). I trying to establish if the parents were married or not. Thank you for your help. Renee
That would be Saint Mathias Sur Richelieu, just NE of Chambly. Historical Atlas of Canada-Resettling the St Lawrence Valley(Hubert Charbonneau) shows 4 places nearby with registers and starting dates, #106 Pointe Olivier 1739!! #107 Chambly 1706 #105 Saint Hilaire 1799 #104 Beloeil 1772 Strangely, these dates do not agree with Drouin, while Pointe Olivier starts in 1739, the period from 1762 to 1776 is missing. Probably not much help, but may give you some insight.
