Hello, Just looked at the Quebec Parish records available at pilot.familysearch. org. Very nice scanned images of microfils available. Looked for St-Marie and did find 3 Sainte-Maire's but no Ste-Marie Ely. Valcourt has St-Joseph-d'Ely. These images start at 1854. There is also a Saint-Elie-d'Orford(in Orford another town nearby to Valcourt) as well with records starting at 1887. What you can do when looking for the right town and church at the pilot.familysearch.org is pull up a map of teh are on Goodgle maps or other map site and expand your search out. this is what I have been doing and this has been really helpful to do since I have never been to Canada and it is helpful to learn the various towns in the region where the ancestors were before moving to the newer inhabited regions of Quebec. It has been such a pleasure to look at the registers in the comfort of my own home instead of cranking those microfilm readers! Plus your not as hurried as you are when you at the FHC libraries. I have been fortunate to find other missing ancestors when searching for another! ----- Original Message ----- From: "Edward Cusson" <cussed@comcast.net> To: <QUEBEC@rootsweb.com> Sent: Thursday, December 10, 2009 4:17 PM Subject: [QUEBEC] Church records > Hello Everyone; > > > I am looking for the church records of > > > Ste.
