Hi John, This may or may not help much, but I look at the 1871 census and see that William and Mary have a son, Archibald L. Watson abt. 2 years old. I found a baptism for Archibald Levi Watson born Jan. 20, 1869 Baptised May 9, 1869 at the Rockburn Presbyterian Church. Parents are William and Mary Potter. I didn't Find Archibald on one of the later censuses where the month and day of birth are listed so couldn't compare.
