Can anyone help me with the marriage of James Charles Akin born circa 1830 in New Glasgow, Terrebonne, Quebec and Mary Ann Steen born circa 1832. She died in Sandwich (Windsor), Essex, Ontario 15 July 1855 after the birth of her second child another Mary Ann. Her first child, my grandfather, William James Akin was born 7 Feb 1854 in Montreal. James's parents Thomas and Elizabeth Gamble Akin came from County Tyrone 1826-28 and several children were baptized at St. Gabriel's Presbyterian church in Montreal. However, James's second marriage to Ann Eliza Benn and his father Thomas's second marriage to Jane Jemima Young were both at St James Methodist in Montreal.
