    1. Re: [QUEBEC] Parish question
    2. Hi Blair, I have seven children of Jean-Francois LEMIRE and Francoise FOUCAULT -- five born and baptised in Trois Rivieres. The last two -- Alexis and Pierre -- were born in Maskinonge. Alexis was baptised in Trois-Rivieres and Pierre in Maskinonge or Louiseville (the Jette record is not clear on that). Perhaps it was a case of the family relocating to nearby Maskinonge where the baptism was recorded but also recorded in their old parish at Trois-Rivieres. Just a thought ... These records have a cover page showing the micro film numbers, Parish and so on. Looks pretty official. When I look at the records they look to be rewritten on binder paper. Also, The Parish is different from the Drouins that I have from Ancestry.com. Up to now, all the Drouins that I've found of their kids have been for Trois-Rivières; L'Immaculée-Conception-des-Trois-Rivières Parish. I've also noticed that the word recollet (reconfirm?) is written on most of the rewritten records in Maskinongé with Trois-Rivières called out as the Parish in the body of the record. Would this mean that they were baptized again after maybe moving to another Parish? Thanks for any help, Blair LeMire . . .
