    1. [QUEBEC] Martin Janson dit Cimetiere of Trois-Moutieres, Anjou, France
    2. Hello there. Thank you for your response. I am so very pleased that we might be able to help each other with this huge gap in geneology back to Martin Janson/Jeanson dit Cimetiere whose descendants filled Quebec and Ontario Canada for over 200 years. Mary Marguerite Duquette married Alexander Joseph Johnson (these are my great-grandparents) The children I have learned about so far are: Marguerite Mary, Alexander Joseph, Jane and Lucy May Johnson (1896-2001) born in and around Hastings, Ontario. My grandmother is Lucy May Johnson who passed in 2001 in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada This information was identified to me in "The Janson/Jeanson/Deslaurier/Johnson Newsletter" printed in June 1996 that was forwarded to me by my mother, with a preamble by an Alex Vorvis of Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The story is called "THEY MADE ME A SHROUD" of two sisters preparing a shroud for a presumed dead relation, that regained consciousness listening to their voices. This story was related to him by Dr. Gay Toltl Kinman of Alhambra, California who is the daughter of Marguerite Mary (Johnson) Toltl, and therefore a first cousin to my father Beverley Mitges of Hamilton, Ontario. I have tried t email Dr. Gay Toltl Kinman, but there has been no reply. I also have a large picture of the family in 1909 at the wedding of Moses Duquette, the son of Alexander Duquette and Rose Angelique Demore, and Nellie Dion that I'm going to scan and place in my ink on Ancestry.com entitled OUR WORLD FAMILY TREE 2010 PROJECT Trying to put it all together is tough. I have prepared what I know on Ancestry.com. Try a search for any of these names to see if you have a link with the family. Please send me any additional information that you might have. Thank you. 3. I have an Alexandre Jeanson born Dec 29, 1878 in St. Denis sur Richlieu Quebec, Canada. His parents were Alexandre Jeanson & Odile Archambault. This may be your great grandfather. I do not have a marriage for him. If we could find the marriage and it is your greatgrandfather I have his line back to Martin. Alexandre is a distant cousin of mine. Hopefully someone will have the marriage of Alexandre and Marguerite Duquette. 2. Also in the family portrait picture I have with 73 relatives listed are the family members from the (Archambault) side of the family who were alive and attending the wedding in 1909. : Charlie Archambault Rosie (Duquette) Archambault Valena Archambault It looks like Alexandre Jeanson and Alexander Joseph Johnson are the same person, just with the change of spelling, that probably precluded the research on his marriage certificate. It looks like we are related somehow. I am so excited to learn this and that you have preserved all of this information on our family history.
