    3. HI, Also read on one of the mail liste recently - that some families favour a particular name - and give that name to all their children - but use a different middle name - by which the child is known. * I helped research a family - a number of years ago - could it already by 10 years ? - which sent me on a wild goose chase - Parents James [Joseph], Julia, Nicholas, Anna, Hannah, John, Anastasia [Nancy], Catherine, William. Finally the Census - and I found the family !!!!! - but some of the birth dates didn't match with some information that I had previously been given. The birth years of the men were 7 years apart. The wives a few years different. The other children - all born aprox the same time frames - one Catherine born in January the other in April. of the same year.the William s born two years apart. Two Cousins - with the same given names - both married Julia's - all named their children according to the paternal family pattern. Both had children of the same sex - in the same pattern /time frame. Utter confussion. There had been a break in the family -never really resolved - when one disapproved of the marriage of the other . It Happens. Cheers, Stella At 10:55 PM 19/01/2010, D.
