Hi List, I have a strange marriage entry for Pierre CHORET. I have a 2 marriages for the same Pierre on 21 January 1686 at Notre Dame de la Nativite, Beauport. On the left hand side of the page, Pierre is getting married to Madeleine GIROUX. That is the one I chose, until I noticed the right hand page. On the right hand page, Pierre, with same parents and date, getting married to Marie Anne BAUGIS. According to the documents that I have carefully found, my line would go through Madeleine GIROUX. I'm really curious about the other marriage and why it would be on same date. Pierre was the son of Mathieu CHORET and Sabastienne VEILLON. I doubt that he was marrying two women at the same time.
