Christine, I am a descendant of Cyril Cardinal and Elise Seguin of Fitchburg through their son Henry. Cyril died 18 March 1902 in Fitchburg and his death certificate states that his parents were Joseph Cardinal and Emelie Themance. Joseph, Leroux dit Cardinal and Emelie Themance were married 4 February 1828 in Sault-aux-Recollet, Quebec and latter moved to Ontario. Cyril and Elise moved to Fitchburg about 1893. There is a question in our family, however, whether Cyril was their natural born son or if they adopted him though there most definitely is a connection. I have been working on this problem for many years and have yet to find the answer. If you need more information about Arthur Cardinal in Fitchburg let me know. Regarding the posting of marriage anniversaries. ================================ Some have expressed concern about posting marriage data about living people -- privacy issues... I guess we aren't all glad we're married <grin>... Some want it to remain a secret. Perhaps we should refrain from posting marriages that occurred after 1950 --- if anyone is still married and alive after 55 years of marriage it should be proclaimed from the rooftops! Yes... I know... I'm guilty too... But this is one of those cases we use with our kids. Don't do as I do... Do as I say. <grin> BTW... It is perfectly acceptable to post your own anniversary if you feel so proud.

I've been asked what genealogy program I am using to get these marriage dates. I'm sure just about any program can do these. I'll bet there are some out there that can do it easier than mine. I am using Brother's Keeper 5.2g (Version 6 is probably similar) It gives me a report that I then have to play around with. I'll then choose 10 out of the list I get and adjust it to fit our screen width. To do this report in Brother's Keeper 5.2g 1. Go to SEARCH and choose WORD SEARCH 2. A new screen will appear. 3. Click on TYPE and choose MARRIAGE BY FIELD 4. Type in the date in the MARRIED field 5. Click on CREATE REPORT and your computer will search for your parameters 6. When complete another screen will appear titled FIELDS TO INCLUDE 7. Click on the following lines 2 name (first last) 17 father's name 18 mother's name 20 marriage date 21 marriage place 19 spouse's name 61 spouse's father's name 62 spouse's mother's name 8. Then click on FILE (top left) 9. Choose CREATE TXT FILE 10. Choose a name and location and save the file You can then work with the results

Yesterday, May 20, was my wedding anniversary with my second wife, Suzanne CARRIERE --- daughter of Armand CARRIERE and Cecile LAROSE. We were married in 1988 in Penticton, British Columbia.
