1. [QUEBEC] Briere + Boudria marriage?
    2. I'm looking for the marriage between Hormidas Briere and Iglafer Boudria/s. It may have taken place in the late 1890's. The family lived in Russell County, Ontario, at least some of the siblings of Iglafer did. A few came to Fall River, MA. I don't have the parents of Hormidas, but the parents of Iglafer were Antoine Boudria and Nathalie Laberge. Thanks for any help, Paula

**************************************
AOL now offers free email to everyone. Find out more about what's free from AOL at http://www.aol.com.

    2. muriel m davidson
    3. To all -- It seems -- "so near but yet so far!" The province of Quebec is now at 99.36% but it takes a number of lines and pages to bring it up even a part of a percentage. As there are many districts, I have made it easier for anyone wishing to transcribe http://automatedgenealogy.com.census11/ District 146 Bellechasse.............99.98% District 162 Jacques Cartier,,,,,,,88.46% District 165 Labelle.....................96.54% District 169 Levis.......................96.33% District 176 Moncalm ................97.66% If page has been enumerated in French, you might find it easier to transcribe in French -- just click on language preferred at bottom of page -- easier to copy than to guess at the words [these bring corrections] One does not have to be a Quebec resident to transcribe. Have fun on these cold, snowy days! Muriel M. Davidson Co-Chair, Canada Census Committee

    3. Hi Delphine; I checked in the 1792, 1795, 1798, 1805, 1806 censuses in Quebec City (BANQ=Bibliotheque & Archives Nationales du Québec on the Internet) and could not find any Charles, or Mrs. James Cameron. There were an Andrew, a Robert and a "Monsieur" Cameron, but none were soldiers or former soldiers. I have found it easier if the page is enumerated in French to look below the page -- see ENGLISH FRENCH I would click on French and just follow what the enumerator has written -- do not try to translate, a mite too hard. I have signed, authenticated copy of the registry. His widow , Mary and daughter Ann were listed as survivors. A month later a Charles CAMERON was discharged from the same regiment, no reason given. He had been enlisted as a Drummer Boy at age 7 in 1790. He went to Toronto and I have information from :"Toronto Landmarks ". indicating that Charles, Mary and Ann were sponsors at each other's marriages and baptisms. I have all information from then to present day. I am trying to establish whether Charles was on any kind of census showing if he had lived in Quebec before age 7. He enlisted in Quebec( not known if City or Province). I would very much appreciate any effort to resolve this matter , Delphine Cameron Large Victoria, B.C.

    3. To all:- Transcribing is coming along fine on all lists with the UNLOCKING of the WINNIPEG pages in Manitoba March 4, 2007. When unlocked, the original transcriber has the right to claim any pages if finished within a certain period. ALBERTA......................68.80% BRITISH COLUMBIA....74.09% MANITOBA..................100.01% Winnipeg is 99.99% QUEBEC........................98.87% SASKATCHEWAN........78.92% To make it easier, since Quebec is so close, check on these districts as there are about 200:- [Laprarie is 100%] Jacques Cartier, Labelle, Levis, Maisonneuve, Montcalm plus a few more -- look for the black numbers at the left of the sub-district number. It will be interesting to see the percentages tomorrow evening, especially Manitoba. http://automatedgenealogy.com/census11/ Happy transcribing, Muriel M.
