    3. I cannot tell you for sure about this family, but it is not impossible that they had one son named Jean Baptiste who DIED, and then they married another son Jean Baptiste, and this one lived to adulthood..... This is rather common among the Quebec families, as the mortality rate in infants was so high in those days....... -----Original Message----- From: quebec-bounces@rootsweb.com [mailto:quebec-bounces@rootsweb.com] On Behalf Of John Noel Sent: Tuesday, October 13, 2009 12:41 AM To: QUEBEC-L@rootsweb.com Subject: [QUEBEC] (no subject) My name is John Noel.   I am a decendant of Philippe Noel and Marie Agathe Aubin (married Feb. 10 1755) My Aunt says they had a son named Jean Baptiste who married Genevieve Laroche on Nov. 12 1799 at St. Antione de Tilly. 3. Hi Renee   I do not know if you got a reply for the verification of  Victoria Paradis married to Thomas Aubin !! I did looked it up and this marriage is valid.   Aubin, Thomas (feu Thomas Aubin & Exalire Barthe, St-Felix-de-Valois) m 25/07/1928 Ste-Catherine-d'Alexandrie, Mtl Paradis, Victoire (feu Thomas Paradis & Marie Chamberland, Mont-Joli)   Notice that St-Alexandrie does not exhit as a parish in Montreal it is Ste-Catherine-d'Alexandrie. I looked up the marriage certificat and on it it does not say that she was married before.   It is the other marriage, the one to Joseph Robichaud where there is an error. He could not have married her on 26 june 1921 because one month later that is 26 of july 1921 he married M. Emilie Fournier in Rimouski.   I hope this will help you.  At least it clears the 1928 marriage.   Ghislaine Gauthier --- On Thu, 10/1/09, Renee Cummings <rcummi1123@rogers.com> wrote: From: Renee Cummings <rcummi1123@rogers.com> Subject: [QUEBEC] AUBIN/PARADIS To: "QUEBEC-RESEARCH@ro" <QUEBEC-RESEARCH@rootsweb.com>, "QUEBEC-L" <QUEBEC-L@rootsweb.com> Date: Thursday, October 1, 2009, 5:58 PM Good afternoon Thank you for the quick response to my first request. 3. Hi Sue; May I offer a few words of advice. It will help your party, and also those listers who take the time to assist. I presume your party descends from Joseph Lauzon and Hermeline Blais, and if so, then they must have had children. Might help to give us info on them, such where they married, approx. age, etc. then one can perhaps work backward. Incidentally, Labelle County in Quebec did not become official until some time about 1900 unless I'm mistaken, and St-Jérome is not in that county. Since your party knows that Hermeline also went by the name Emilie, I presume she must have seen some church or other records. Could she tell us what they were? Finally, did you search through Google for that couple? You might be surprised. I couldn't find any mention of them in public trees in Ancestry. I can't find the wedding of Joseph and Hermeline but I have a good idea of who their parents were (not without considerable effort). I'm quite familiar with the Labelle county records.. 3. This is the other website that Family Search has: http://pilot.familysearch.org/recordsearch/start.html#start Below the boxes where you put in names, click on Browse our record collections. When the new window comes up, click on the map of North America and scroll down to Canada and Quebec Catholic Parish Registers, 1621 - 1900. There are no indexes so you have to scroll through each page after you pick a parish and a date range.
