Judy, Wikipedia tells me that "Morven Township" was in Marion County until 1848 and then became part of Morrow County. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Morven I looked up Alum Creek MM in Volume IV of Hinshaw and found on page 1192 the White entries you quote plus seven more WHITE entries. I read the 1833 entry as saying Henry While died on October 10 and was buried at "Morvin, Ohio", which I understand from Wikipedia was Morven Township, in 1824-1842 part of Marion County and now somewhere in western Morrow County. That may well have been the Weston or later Whetstone Preparative Meeting that stayed with and became the site of business meetings of the Hicksite branch of Alum Creek MM after 1828. Whetstone Meeting was located just north of present-day U.S. 42 in Gilead Township, and its properties are discussed on page 38 of my list of all properties in Ohio Valley Yearly Meeting, formerly named Indiana YM (Hicksite): http://www2.wilmington.edu/academics/documents/OVYMDeedlist25January2010.pdf [Many e-mail servers insert a line break or return in long URLs like this one, and one must manually edit the link to remove the break before clicking through to the desired site.] Or maybe not; I have visited the Whetstone/Alum Creek-Hicksite burial ground and meetinghouse sites, but I have not researched the genealogy in Morrow County. I found some MULLENIX entries on page 1176 suggesting they all transferred in from Plains MM in New York. The entry on Gideon Mullenix's marriage to Hannah White says they were married at Northern PM [later part of Gilead Twp., Morrow Cty.], and Hannah was the daughter of Joshua and Mercy White of Marion County. I never worked out whether Northern PM became Weston or somehow disappeared. Tom Thomas C. I came across information on ancestry.com regarding the Alum Creek Monthly Meetings in which it shows an entry of what I believe my 3rd generation grandmother, i.e., Hannah White marrying my 3rd generation grandfather, i.e., Gideon Mullennix. I am not familiar with Quaker meetings, but I believe it is noting the date January 24, 1834. There is a title of: WHITE 1833, 10, 10. Henry d bur Morvin, O. 1834, 1, 24. Hannah m Gideon MULLENIX I have so many questions, I don't know where to begin, but can you tell me, what the 1833 entry is saying? Also, what is the Alum Creek Monthly Meeting? Where were they held? Basically, how do I go to find out more about this information? I would appreciate any assistance you can provide. I received this email from research on the Internet.
