Hi All Does anyone have a resource for Quakers in Ireland. I am looking in Co Wicklow, Bray, Ireland. Been search for the removal record for Peter Bray to come to the colonies. So far now luck. So I was hoping maybe on of you might have another source I could check out. We are pretty sure he was from that area and I know he was a Quaker in the colonies, settling in NC. Thank you for any help you can give me. Glee
Glee: My Astons and Hunters went from Wicklow to London before coming on to Pennsylvania. Check the Dublin and London meetings. There may be some mention of them in the book on Irish Quakers in Pennsylvania. Glee The LDS have filmed all the Digests for Ireland (if my memory serves me right, on two films). These can be ordered at your local FHC. I'm not sure about surviving registers for Co Wicklow - but certainly the films include the Dublin registers and those of important places like Mountmellick. Myers' book as mentioned by Steven Perkins is available for download online, though I don't have the link at hand. What are your surnames? You may be able to find out information of the English/Scottish origins if the names are locally distinct.
