    3. Robert, Thanks for your response. Do you have any suggestions as to what DAR may be concerned with, other than combat related records? I am fairly new at this. This page has the long list of approved service: http://www.dar.org/natsociety/become_member_how-service.cfm If this is your John Townsend, he is already an approved ancestor.
