It seems my Bishop family in Cumberland and Whitley Co., KY, leads back to Samuel Bishop and Elizabeth Babb in Frederick Co., VA. Elizabeth was read out of the Bradford MM, Chester Co., PA for marrying out of unity in 1766. Samuel was an Episcopalian. Her parents were Peter Babb and Mary Lewis married at Concord MM, Delaware Co., PA in 1728. A Samuel Bishop was a Witness. Was this the father of the Samuel Bishop who married Elizabeth Babb in 1766?
