Helen and Richard, I am afraid that I don't have much to offer, but am most interested in your current work on early Staffordshire Quaker families. My immigrant ancestors came in 1712 to the Philadelphia area (just outside of Chadds Ford). The male side was William Harvey from Worcestershire and he came with a letter of introduction as a 30 year old bachelor but married a widow Judith Osborn in 1714 and built a house in 1715 (Harvey House) which is still there occupied since that time. Judith came on the same ship as William (I don't know the name or where from, but I assume it was from Bristol) but had lost her husband on the voyage over, or soon after. From William on down I have a pretty good idea of the lineage to me. But before that nothing. I tried to research once at Quaker House in London, but found no more than that I had already found in the US. They said that maybe the Worcester meeting records had been lost in a fire or a flood as that area was pretty much the "wild west" frontier at that time. I have found that I can buy the book that you mention, and have ordered it. And I see that it is written by a Harvey which also adds to my interest. 'Waterfall of Yesterday', by Mrs Frances Alice Harvey, which is historical and all about the villages of Waterfall and Waterhouses in Staffordshire and the families that lived there. Please let me know if there is anything that I can do for either of you.
